Assessments

Measure how your operations really run before you change them

We assess the processes, roles, systems, controls, and data behind source-to-pay, record-to-report, order-to-cash, and treasury, then hand you a business case and a sequenced roadmap. It works whichever ERP or procurement platform you run today, or are about to choose.

Business process assessment

Start with what people do and what the systems record

We interview the people who run each process, pull the transaction history out of your ERP and procurement systems, and compare the two. Rework, exceptions, and workarounds show up in the gap between them, and that is usually where the cost and the risk are. The assessment covers Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Coupa, and the integrations between them, and it doesn't assume you'll keep any of them.

Process & operating model

Who does the work, where, and with how many handoffs

We look at roles and handoffs, spans of control, approval chains and the policies behind them, and options such as shared services or outsourcing. We design the target operating model around how the work should flow, and the system changes follow from it.

Systems & integration

An application estate you can rationalize

We map the ERP, procurement, and point systems in each process, how they connect, and where people rekey data between them. Each one gets a recommendation to keep, optimize, consolidate, or replace. When a new ERP or source-to-pay platform is warranted, we run the selection: requirements, demo scenarios, and fit-gap scoring.

Controls & data

Controls and master data that hold up under automation

We review segregation of duties, delegation of authority, and gaps against SOX and audit requirements, and score the quality of supplier, customer, item, and chart-of-accounts master data. Automation and AI depend on both, so we check them before recommending either.

Automation & AI

Automation and AI ranked by value and readiness

From invoice capture and three-way match to spend classification and agent-based workflows, we rank each opportunity by the value it returns and how ready your data and processes are for it. For the ones that aren't ready yet, we name the prerequisites.

  1. 01Step 01 · Scope

Agree the decisions the assessment has to support

We start from the decision in front of you: a re-platform, a shared-services move, an audit finding, an acquisition, or a growth plan the current setup can't carry. That decision sets which value streams, entities, and systems are in scope and who we interview. Engagements range from a half-day onsite review to a diagnostic of several weeks.

  2. 02Step 02 · Discover

Map the current state from interviews and system data

Workshops map each process down to activity level, with the APQC Process Classification Framework as a shared vocabulary. Where the data allows, process mining on ERP and procurement event logs shows the paths transactions actually take, including the rework and exceptions nobody drew on the whiteboard.

  3. 03Step 03 · Measure

Score every process against benchmarks and leading practice

We measure cycle time, touchless rate, exception rate, and cost per transaction, compare them with published industry benchmarks, and score maturity process by process. The same pass covers the controls, the data quality, and the systems and integrations behind each process.

    • KPIs and maturity scored per process
    • Controls, data, and systems in the same pass
  4. 04Step 04 · Roadmap

Leave with a business case and a roadmap you can fund

The readout sets out the target state, the initiatives that close the gap, and what each one costs and returns. Quick wins come first. Larger moves, such as a re-platform or an operating-model change, go where the business case supports them.
